Development for KnowFree ?
Hi everybody,
Firstly, I would like to introduced a new feature on KnowFree that, all authors will get notifications whenever his/her contribution are approved o be published on the front page. I also need to emphasis that even all of contributions are welcomed and recognized but not all posts will be approved, it must comply with the guideline.
At the moment, KnowFree has more than 83000 members, and the number is increasing daily. Everyday, I got many comments and request for books. I really want to respond all of them, but I have not enough time to do so. Then, I think that, I should open a FORUM for you guys to discuss, and help each others not only on sharing ebooks but also technical issues such as programming, database design, networking … However, I need to make sure that the new forum will be useful and active for all members, so please let me know your ideas such as:
- Whether or not I should open the forum ?
- Which topic you guys want to discuss ?
- Will you enjoy the forum ?
- Suggestions ?
…..

* forum must be opened to discuss all types of problems regarding this site * i want to discuss mainly 3d graphics * i will surely enjoy the forum if it turns fruitful *suggestions 1) many valuable postings have been deleted for some unknown reason. Those must be reuploaded. 2) more v.d.o. tutorials for 3ds max, maya, soft image, after effects required.

83000 members is a very very valuable asset. I would like to appreciate much if a forum is opened. I live in Vietnam - and I think so do you. There’s a different, you live in Saigon & I live in Hanoi :D I am also a member of some IT forums in Vietnam. The needs for IT books of their members are very high, unfortunately they can not be full-filled. Above all, I think it may be very helpful if there is a place - from there we can both share knowledge and find books that we need.

Hello Mr. Blue, I think your idea for a forum is an excellent one. I am an Electronic Engineer and I am almost 70 years old. At the moment I am trying to write a web site and shopping cart for a small business to keep my brain working in my retirement. Most of the information for my learning comes from the books on you web site and various other forums. I am not sure that I have enough skills yet to contribute to your forum but I would participate in areas where I have some knowledge. My only suggestion would be to have a "moderated forum" so as to keep out some of the bad mouth kiddies. Best Regards TMPFO

Im a C# developer I think that you should open a forum and associate each thread with some book section and if there were a chat that would be wonderful

I like the idea about the forum and share common opinion that it should be created. General categories (Applicatin, Business, Engineering, Examination … etc) are fine candidates for rooms but IT book, as larger groop, should be broke-down to subforums, for easier overview and maintenance, and grouped by some fields. For example, "programming" should be enough to cover all subcategories on the blog (C, C++, Delphi, VB, etc). I believe it would be a good idea to place requests in separate room because it will be a lot of them. It was obvious from the time when shout box was on. Personally, I will try to participate as much as my time allows. Suggestion? Just one. Main purpose of the forum should be to support the blog, not to replace it.

I love that idea. It will allow us exchange knowledges or passing along eachother materials that is hard to find without your intervention.

Hello Mr.Blue it is good idea to open a forum .But remember that Forum must have the same Power of the Site. Master Moderators and Best Experienced Users Hand Writes and Power Manaing is very Important . if we want to have a forum like Other forums that we have been See it is better Not to open a forum. .and Final suggestion , it is better to have 2 level for beginners and Masters .
