When I came out with "What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense" in January 2005, I never imagined that it would become so popular. Since that time, I have released a second edition, several other ebooks, a member site, a telecourse series and find myself booked for multiple speaking engagements. Life is funny…

Today marks another milestone for me as I am pleased to announce the revised and expanded third edition of my AdSense ebook, known also by it's shorter (and easier to say) name, Google AdSense Secrets.

The 199-page third edtion is absolutely packed with AdSense goodness! It features the latest AdSense updates that deal with issues such as smart pricing and section targeting. It contains extended chapters on getting traffic to your site and how to get started with AdSense. And I've included even more case studies to provide real-life examples of AdSense done properly. The goal is to help my readers pick more money off the Google tree. And it seems to be working.

Professional Pen Testing for Web Applications

There is no such thing as "perfect security" when it comes to keeping all systems intact and functioning properly. Good penetration (pen) testing creates a balance that allows a system to be secure while simultaneously being fully functional. With this book, you'll learn how to become an effective penetrator (i.e., a white hat or ethical hacker) in order to circumvent the security features of a Web application so that those features can be accurately evaluated and adequate security precautions can be put in place.

After a review of the basics of web applications, you'll be introduced to web application hacking concepts and techniques such as vulnerability analysis, attack simulation, results analysis, manuals, source code, and circuit diagrams. These web application hacking concepts and techniques will prove useful information for ultimately securing the resources that need your protection.

What you will learn from this book
    * Surveillance techniques that an attacker uses when targeting a system for a strike
    * Various types of issues that exist within the modern day web application space
    * How to audit web services in order to assess areas of risk and exposure
    * How to analyze your results and translate them into documentation that is useful for remediation
    * Techniques for pen-testing trials to practice before a live project

Handbook of Applied Cryptography - CRC PressCryptography, in particular public-key cryptography, has emerged in the last 20 years as an important discipline that is not only the subject of an enormous amount of research, but provides the foundation for information security in many applications. Standards are emerging to meet the demands for cryptographic protection in most areas of data communications. Public-key cryptographic techniques are now in widespread use, especially in the financial services industry, in the public sector, and by individuals for their personal privacy, such as in electronic mail. This Handbook will serve as a valuable reference for the novice as well as for the expert who needs a wider scope of coverage within the area of cryptography. It is a necessary and timely guide for professionals who practice the art of cryptography. The Handbook of Applied Cryptography provides a treatment that is multifunctional: It serves as an introduction to the more practical aspects of both conventional and public-key cryptography It is a valuable source of the latest techniques and algorithms for the serious practitioner It provides an integrated treatment of the field, while still presenting each major topic as a self-contained unit It provides a mathematical treatment to accompany practical discussions It contains enough abstraction to be a valuable reference for theoreticians while containing enough detail to actually allow implementation of the algorithms discussedNow in its third printing, this is the definitive cryptography reference that the novice as well as experienced developers, designers, researchers, engineers, computer scientists, and mathematicians alike will use.

Handbook of Computer Vision Algorithms in Image Algebra - CRC Press

Image algebra is a comprehensive, unifying theory of image transformations, image analysis, and image understanding. In 1996, the bestselling first edition of the Handbook of Computer Vision Algorithms in Image Algebra introduced engineers, scientists, and students to this powerful tool, its basic concepts, and its use in the concise representation of computer vision algorithms. Updated to reflect recent developments and advances, the second edition continues to provide an outstanding introduction to image algebra. It describes more than 80 fundamental computer vision techniques and introduces the portable iaC++ library, which supports image algebra programming in the C++ language. Revisions to the first edition include a new chapter on geometric manipulation and spatial transformation, several additional algorithms, and the addition of exercises to each chapter. The authors-both instrumental in the groundbreaking development of image algebra-introduce each technique with a brief discussion of its purpose and methodology, then provide its precise mathematical formulation. In addition to furnishing the simple yet powerful utility of image algebra, the Handbook of Computer Vision Algorithms in Image Algebra supplies the core of knowledge all computer vision practitioners need. It offers a more practical, less esoteric presentation than those found in research publications that will soon earn it a prime location on your reference shelf.

Higher-Order Perl: Transforming Programs with Programs - Morgan Kaufmann

Most Perl programmers were originally trained as C and Unix programmers, so the Perl programs that they write bear a strong resemblance to C programs. However, Perl incorporates many features that have their roots in other languages such as Lisp. These advanced features are not well understood and are rarely used by most Perl programmers, but they are very powerful. They can automate tasks in everyday programming that are difficult to solve in any other way. One of the most powerful of these techniques is writing functions that manufacture or modify other functions. For example, instead of writing ten similar functions, a programmer can write a general pattern or framework that can then create the functions as needed according to the pattern. For several years Mark Jason Dominus has worked to apply functional programming techniques to Perl. Now Mark brings these flexible programming methods that he has successfully taught in numerous tutorials and training sessions to a wider audience.

    * Introduces powerful programming methods—new to most Perl programmers—that were previously the domain of computer scientists
    * Gradually builds up confidence by describing techniques of progressive sophistication
    * Shows how to improve everyday programs and includes numerous engaging code examples to illustrate the methods
